Welcome to the 2nd Annual Non-Executive Director Awards
The Non-Executive Director Awards aim to highlight, and acknowledge the pivotal role non-executive directors and trustees play in supporting companies, and the challenges they face.
The appointment of a non-executive director is a key driver for investors, shareholders, customers, bankers and creditors, and highly influences their view of the company, and their decision to invest in it.
In 2006 KBC Peel Hunt, the leading investment bank for growth companies established the Non-Executive Director Awards to highlight and acknowledge the challenging role carried out by non-executive directors throughout the UK.
This year's awards are supported by a group of high profile sponsors from a range of areas relevant to an executives directors remit, including; financial expertise, independent thinking, legal knowledge and business strategy.
KBC Peel Hunt is joined from the global venture capital and private equity business by 3i; by premier independent global professional services firm Alvarez and Marsal; leading law firm Pinsent Masons; The Non-Executive Director Association (NEDA), which was established in 2006 to promote and support non-executive directors training and personal development, and The Sunday Times, Britain's biggest-selling quality paper.
All responses will be analysed by researchers at the University of Southampton, one of the top 10 research universities in the UK.
