Awards

The Awards

The NED Awards were established in 2006, by Peel Hunt, to recognise those NEDs who have made a real contribution to the business and not-for-profit sectors, whose commitment and achievements helped the organisation grow.

There are six categories within the awards:-

  • FTSE 100
  • Not-for-Profit / Public Service Organisation
  • Quoted - AIM
  • Quoted - Official List
  • Unquoted / Private-Equity Backed Company
  • Overall Winner

Our prestigious sixth award, the Overall Winner award, is given to one of the winners from the first five categories. Our esteemed panel of judges review the category winners and announce the most outstanding NED.

Judges

Our eminent panel of judges come from a variety of sectors, including the not-for-profit sector.

Once again, the awards will be chaired by Sir John Parker, Chairman of National Grid and Anglo American, and previous chairs have included Baroness Hogg. In 2007 Sir John Parker was awarded the Quoted Company – Official List award.
